Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002, and has been aired for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten began her professional career at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budget papers. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual stimulation of the job, but eventually, she began to lose the interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. It took her nearly 18 years to make the shop wildly successful, before she sold the business. After that, she started writing the first of many cookbooks. A number of other cookbooks and magazine columns followed. In the meantime the Food Network show was also a success. Also, Ina sells products including food-related ingredients, storage containers and other equipment. Ina never went to a cookery school nor was she employed in a dining establishment. She is entirely self-taught. She is known for her simple approach to cooking and effortless approach to entertainment. Her most popular recipes include the lemon chicken that she grills in a skillet as well as Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
