Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model and advocate for animal rights in the US. Ali MacGraw is well-known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her family was an artist family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of arts. Her first position was an assistant to photographers. After that, she switched to modeling and acting. Her name was highlighted in her first two movies and received Golden Globe Award for Most promising newcomer. MacGraw was a worldwide celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. In just three films she was deemed the most successful female at the box office in history. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she got her signature and hand-footprints engraved. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw got married to three different people.
